Diaconal Ministry
The ministry of Deacons is an important aspect of parish and institutional services. RES offers this program in diaconal ministry for those who intend to pursue the permanent diaconate. There are two levels designed to provide prospective deacons with training in Scripture, theology, church history, and pastoral care. Postulants for Holy Orders should consult with their Bishop as to which aspects of the program are required.

Deaconess Ministry
The Deaconess performs many important ministries in the Church. These include caring for the sick, the afflicted, and the poor, giving instruction in the Christian Faith, and organizing and carrying on social work; and in colleges and schools to have a responsible part in the education of women and children, and to promote the welfare of women students. The purpose of the Deaconess program is to provide training training in Scripture, theology, church history, and pastoral care.
